He joined University Physicians, Rapid City, in 1997. The UP group reorganized locally as Medical Associates of the Black Hills until closing in 2005.

In August 2004, he established Diamond Family Medicine as his private practice.

During this last 15 years Dr. Diamond has been proud to be the Medical Director of West Hills Village and Clarkson nursing home.

He is an assosciate professor of the University of South Dakota School of Medicine and has been teaching 3rd and 4th year medical students year round since 1993.
